Chris Matthews - Chris graduated at the top of his class from the Colorado School of Trades, with an Associates Degree in Gun Smithing, as well as serving as an Assistant Instructor during his fourth semester. After building rifles for the top tactical rifle shop in the US for three years, Chris decided to expand his services by opening his own shop. He stays on top of cutting edge technology in the shooting industry by participating in various competitions such as 1000 yard benchrest. He is also an active varmint, predator and big game hunter and guide. Chris' skill and experience provide the necessary ingredients to create a superior, custom rifle.

George Matthews - With over 30 years experience as a master craftsman, George brings an innate ability to complete complex, custom rifles. His talent, knowledge and dexterity are surpassed only by his quest to produce the best product, bringing your vision to reality.

Diana Matthews- Diana has been a college student for 7 years now, working on degrees such as accounting, networking, land surveying, and veterinary tech studies. Using her skills in over 12 years of accounting, Diana now serves as Office Manager for LSR. Diana had never picked up a firearm her entire life until she met Chris in 2005. That was when it all began. Diana entered her first benchrest competition in 2005 and managed to win the Iowa State Championships. In addition to competitive long range shooting, Diana also now enjoys hunting. Besides having the usual "buck fever," she also has an obsession for wild hog hunting. Diana's accounting abilities and passion for great rifles for hunting help tremendously to keep things running smoothly at LongShot Rifles.

The LongShot Mascots- Rooster and Molly

Rooster and Molly are two very happy bloodhounds.  As Rooster was a birthday gift for Diana, he has been raised from a pup and is AKC registered.  He acquired his name by the infamous baying noises he used to make in the middle of the night as a pup.  Rooster is just a big happy-go-lucky dog that loves everyone.  Rooster is being used as our tracking dog.  He has an excellent nose for blood trailing! Molly was rescued from a shelter- she was just too cute to pass up.  Besides, Rooster needed a friend!  Molly is a black and tan bloodhound where Rooster is nothing but red.  Despite Molly’s older age and detached retina, she has become a loving part of the LSR family.  If you happen to every stop by and see us at the shop, you will most likely be greeted by these two wonderful slobhounds.
